Hérault: two arrested after body discovered in Palavas-les-Flots
A lifeless body was discovered on 9 September in an apartment in Palavas-les-Flots. Two people were arrested and charged with murder and harbouring a criminal.
Two suspects presented to justice
According to TF1 Info, a man was found dead on 9 September in an apartment in Palavas-les-Flots (Hérault), presenting according to the Montpellier prosecutor "multiple injuries". Gendarmes discovered the body early in the morning following an intervention at the address.
Two weeks after the opening of the murder investigation, the investigating magistrate announces that two people were arrested over the weekend of 26-27 September in Roquemaure, approximately one hundred kilometres from the crime scene. The two suspects were discovered together on board a vehicle and taken into custody to be questioned about the facts.
The first of the two charged was pursued for murder and placed in provisional detention. The second, who accompanied him during the arrest, was charged with "harbouring a criminal from arrest or search" and placed under judicial supervision. The prosecutor provided no details on the motive or profiles of the suspects.
