The Eure-et-Loir judicial court issued its decisions on Friday 3 July, concluding a three-day trial. Eight defendants appeared on charges related to trafficking, possession and dealing in narcotic substances, as well as criminal association. Four of them were repeat offenders. L'Écho Républicain reports the outcome of this case.
The hearings had begun on Tuesday 30 June. Over the first two days, the four defendants present were heard in court. They presented their version of events whilst answering questions from the judges and the public prosecutor's representative.
Four other defendants were absent during the trial. The court nonetheless imposed sentences ranging from three to ten years' imprisonment.
