A male supremacist content creator known as "Paffman" was placed in provisional detention on Tuesday in the Lille region. This measure followed an online report concerning statements made during a live broadcast.
Investigators received an alert via Pharos, the platform dedicated to illegal content on the internet. A witness reported a streaming video in which the man expressed his intention to sow death among the population. The prosecutor's office in the North immediately opened an emergency procedure.
Jonhattan N., his real name, was picked up at his home. During questioning, he admitted to making these statements. However, he claimed that his approach was solely intended to gain attention on his networks.
This arrest is not the first alert concerning this individual. As early as summer 2025, internet users had already reported publications by him on TikTok. These videos contained justifications of rape. A judicial investigation had been opened at that time. The two cases are now combined.
The individual faces an accumulation of charges. He is notably accused of glorifying attacks on human life, encouraging sexual violence, inciting hatred based on gender, as well as sexist outrage.
Presented before the investigating magistrate on Thursday, he was released on bail. His hearing before the judges of the Lille tribunal is scheduled for early December 2026. A restriction on access to his digital platforms has been imposed for a period of six months.
