A magistrates' court in the Lille metropolitan area will examine the case on 1st December of a twenty-year-old man, a prominent figure in the masculinist movement on social networks. He is accused of having made statements glorifying rape and murder, as well as having evoked the prospect of a mass shooting during a live broadcast on TikTok.
The judicial authorities in the Nord region received a report via Pharos, the platform dedicated to illegal online content, after an internet user reported an alarming live stream. In this video, the individual expressed his desire to cause a massacre. Investigators quickly identified the author of the statements.
This is not the first case involving this young man. Since summer 2025, he had already been subject to proceedings for publications on the same social network containing messages of a sexist, misogynistic character and praise of rape. The two investigations were combined by the public prosecutor's office.
When arrested at his home, the suspect admitted to the facts, citing a search for buzz and digital notoriety. Police officers found several recordings containing threats made online on his mobile device.
The charges extend to incitement to discrimination based on origin, ethnicity or religion, as well as to abuse linked to gender. The courts imposed on him judicial supervision accompanied by a ban on using his TikTok and YouTube accounts for six months, platforms used to spread this content.
The masculinist movement, born in the 1980s as a reaction to feminism, advocates for male dominance and accuses women of being responsible for a decline in men's living conditions. This ideological current is experiencing a worrying increase in France, particularly among young people, alert associations and specialised observers.
