Lannion: drug trafficker sentenced to 3 years and 10 months in prison following record seizure
A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to 3 years and 10 months in prison in Lannion following the seizure of more than 5 kg of narcotics, weapons, and nearly 10,000 euros in cash.

A man in his forties was tried and sentenced on Friday 3 July 2026 in Saint-Brieuc for drug trafficking offences committed in Lannion, in Côtes-d'Armor. The court handed down a total sentence of 3 years and 10 months in prison.
The suspect's arrest dates back to Wednesday 1 July. Officers from Lannion police station had received information concerning illicit activities on Rue de Tréguier. Upon arriving at the scene, they found the individual outside his home with drugs on him.
The police then carried out a thorough search of the property. They uncovered a considerable quantity of illegal substances: 3.5 kg of heroin, 1.2 kg of cannabis resin, 700 g of cocaine, 70 g of MDMA and more than a thousand ecstasy tablets. The haul also included 3.6 kg of product used to dilute the goods, more than 9,000 euros in cash, packaging materials, and three Category C rifles held without authorisation.
The man admitted to investigators his involvement in drug trafficking. His criminal record already revealed convictions for similar offences, placing him in legal repeat-offender status.
The investigating magistrate stressed that the 3-year sentence represented the maximum ceiling for a CRPC procedure. This sentence was increased by the enforcement of a previous conviction of 10 months for comparable offences.
