Death threats at Eysines secondary school: 36-year-old father held in custody

A 36-year-old man was held in custody on Monday, 14 September in Gironde, after entering Albert-Camus secondary school in Eysines to protest against a reprimand given to his daughter that morning by a supervisor. The information, revealed by Sud-Ouest, was confirmed to BFM TV by the prosecutor of Bordeaux.
According to details communicated by the prosecutor's office, the father allegedly made death threats against the supervisor involved. The prosecutor clarified that "the alleged facts also concern threats made against the headteacher" of the establishment.
The mayor of Eysines, Christine Bost, indicated to ICI that very few pupils had witnessed the incident. The prosecutor was notified by the National Education services, and witnesses were questioned by police during the evening of Monday.
This incident comes just four days after another father was sentenced to six months in custody with an immediate custodial order for threatening to behead a teacher at his son's school in Fauga, near Toulouse, in Haute-Garonne.
