Murder in Amiens: young woman suspected of dealing fatal blow
A 45-year-old man died in the night from Saturday to Sunday in the north of Amiens, having suffered a stab wound to the thorax. His body was discovered shortly before midnight, wedged between two parked vehicles on rue Denis-Cordonnier.
According to initial findings from the investigation, the tragedy appears to have resulted from an ordinary street dispute that escalated. Four individuals, including a young woman, are believed to have participated in the altercation. The latter is now considered the presumed perpetrator of the fatal blow.
The incident was captured by surveillance cameras, an element that could prove decisive in establishing each party's degree of responsibility. The fact that the attackers returned to the victim after having armed themselves could constitute evidence of premeditation.
The four protagonists were taken into custody and placed in police custody. Their questioning was to continue on Monday 15 June. Presentations before the courts could follow following these interviews.
