A sawn-off shotgun and around thirty 12-gauge cartridges were discovered Wednesday evening during a search carried out around 7pm at the home of a 26-year-old suspect in Nîmes, according to Google News FR — Crime (fr), citing a source close to the case.
The suspect is one of two men arrested as part of the investigation opened for murder following the death of Sonia Bellina, a 29-year-old influencer followed by more than 250,000 subscribers on TikTok. Her body was found half-burnt on 12 August 2026 by a farm worker, between rows of vines at Saint-Gilles, in the Gard.
The two men remained in police custody on Thursday 20 August. One of them, already known for acts of violence and carrying weapons, is suspected of having been the young woman's last contact during the night of the incident.
