From the evening of 28 August, a first suspect had been placed in police custody. A second had managed to flee, triggering searches conducted by gendarmes for several hours. The fugitive eventually chose to surrender of his own accord. "I can confirm the placement in police custody of the second individual who surrendered," declared prosecutor Huet.
