Paris: English instructor charged with rape of 22 nursery school children

According to ouest-france.fr, a 31-year-old English instructor was charged and remanded in provisional custody on Thursday 24 September 2026, following his arrest on Tuesday and detention for questioning. The Paris prosecutor's office communicated the information to Agence France-Presse.
The charges brought concern rape, sexual assault and violence against 22 children enrolled at a private Paris school. The victims, born between 2020 and 2022, described to investigators, with their legal representatives, "insults, shouting, blows, touching on the buttocks and genitals, digital penetrations by the teacher", according to details provided by the prosecutor's office.
The man was employed by the company CapEnglish, which acknowledged on Tuesday that "one of its former instructors at a private school located in Paris had been implicated in serious offences". An investigating judge is now responsible for conducting the inquiry.
