A man was found with facial and bodily injuries near Périgueux railway station on Friday afternoon. Investigators are pursuing the theory of a settling of scores between two individuals.

An individual was discovered seriously injured at around 14:20 on Friday, in the vicinity of Périgueux railway station. The incident occurred on rue Michel-Roulland, opposite a catering establishment. The injured man had wounds to the head and lesions on several parts of his body, caused by a blade.
According to information provided by the prosecutor's office, the incident resulted from a physical altercation between two people in public. Emergency services quickly attended to the victim and evacuated him to the hospital. Doctors assessed that the injuries were superficial in nature.
At present, no one has been arrested. Officers from the police station have opened an investigation into aggravated assault involving the use of a bladed weapon.
