According to Google News LU FR, an 18-year-old man, presented as a suspected member of the computer hacking group "Zerobytes", has been charged and remanded in provisional detention as part of the investigation into the hacking of the French tax authority website.

Two suspects have been arrested in total in connection with investigations launched following this cyberattack against the tax administration, according to several French media outlets including CNews, BFM and Le Figaro.

The young man in question is also referred to under the pseudonym "ChatNoir" by Le Monde, which notes that he has been charged on several occasions. His young age — 18 years old — and his criminal record have been noted by several news outlets covering the case.

The "Zerobytes" group, to which the suspect is linked, is presented as responsible for the computer intrusion targeting the tax authority website. The investigation, entrusted to specialist services, focuses on the circumstances under which this group allegedly compromised the systems of the tax administration.

Being charged constitutes a formal act of indictment under French law and does not prejudge the guilt of the person charged. Judicial proceedings are continuing.
