The Aix-en-Provence court sentenced Samy B., 35, to four years' strict imprisonment for harassment of his former partner. The defendant was already serving a sentence at Luynes penitentiary when he orchestrated a campaign of intimidation from his cell.
Lisa, 29, had filed a rape complaint against her former boyfriend a year ago. Between February and November 2025, the man allegedly made 1,321 telephone calls to his victim from the penitentiary. His objective: to force her to withdraw her rape complaint.
The couple, who live in Martigues, had previously been tried for domestic violence offences. In 2020, Samy B. received two-and-a-half years in prison. Upon his release, he returned to Lisa. When asked about her reasons for renewing contact, the young woman simply murmured: "Control". Her solicitor, Marylou Diamantara, described a man who "considered Lisa as his property", using his keys to enter her home as he pleased.
During the hearing, the defendant initially refused to be tried, arguing that his solicitors were not present. He described the case as a "miscarriage of justice", accusing his victim of manipulation and alluding to the involvement of "mafia members".
