Dati appointed chief deputy at Ministry of Justice despite corruption proceedings
According to RTBF Info, Rachida Dati, current centre-right mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris and aged 60, will rejoin the judiciary following her defeat in the March municipal elections. She has obtained a position as "chief deputy at the central administration of justice" within the Ministry of Justice, reports Nouvel Obs.
The Ministry of Justice confirmed the matter to AFP: "Ms Dati has requested her reinstatement as a magistrate, as is her right, and will be assigned shortly within the framework of the standard transparency procedure for magistrates."
