Trial for insurrectional plot

Rémy Daillet, 60, is appearing before the Paris magistrates' court on 29 and 30 September facing charges of criminal association linked to a terrorist enterprise and abduction. According to Le Nouvel Obs, the accused directed a far-right cell preparing a coup d'état and is implicated in the abduction of little Mia in April 2021.

Daillet, who presents himself as a certified Erickson coach and former human resources director, launched videos in 2020 calling for the "overthrow" of the French state. These contents attracted millions of views during the health crisis. At the hearings, the defendant adopted a pedagogical posture towards the judge, setting out his professional credentials whilst contesting the accusations.

Dressed in a white shirt and beige waistcoat, he displays the appearance he had when making his calls for insurrection. The investigations have established his role as leader within the network accused of preparing a terrorist attack and the group's involvement in the Mia affair, which captured public opinion in 2021.
