Saint-Denis: new mayor in turmoil after revelations about his relations with traffickers

Bally Bagayoko, recently elected to head Saint-Denis under the colours of La France insoumise, is the subject of an embarrassing article. Journalists from Radio France have investigated his relations with two individuals belonging to the same family with numerous police troubles.

Ahmed Doumbia, one of them, has already been sanctioned by the courts on numerous occasions for matters linked to narcotics. He is currently the subject of a procedure concerning a nighttime establishment operating illegally, despite a prefectural closure order.

These revelations echo the attacks suffered by Bagayoko during the electoral campaign. His opponent, Mathieu Hanotin, had then mentioned the support of drug barons for his candidacy, shortly before polling day.

A close collaborator of the former mayor provided the investigation cell with details of these dubious contacts.
