A 25-year-old man and two women aged 20 and 24 remain imprisoned pending trial for drug trafficking across several departments in western France.

The Saint-Nazaire tribunal ordered the incarceration of three suspects involved in a drug network on Friday 3 July 2026. Their hearing was adjourned to 27 August, at the request of the main accused, who has a previous police record and is a repeat offender.
The three defendants, whose ages ranged between 20 and 25, had been distributing various substances for approximately four years. The investigation revealed deliveries of cocaine, cannabis, ketamine and ecstasy tablets. The exchanges took place mainly in the flat of a couple living in Batz-sur-Mer, with branches in Quimper, Les Sables-d'Olonne and the Saint-Nazaire area.
During their raids, law enforcement discovered an arsenal comprising three Beretta carbines and a hunting rifle. The public prosecutor's representative emphasised the scale of the operation, referring to substantial profits. Telephone surveillance had been put in place. The wiretaps revealed that the head of the network claimed profits exceeding 40,000 euros. The magistrate also highlighted a trip to Laos financed by the couple whilst both were unemployed, despite having previously worked as a restaurateur and in sales.
The youngest member of the group, employed at a catering establishment in Le Croisic, is believed to have joined the organisation in spring 2026. Her home is believed to have served as a safe house. Her lawyer argued that she would have earned only 1,200 euros over this period. The lawyer for the ring leader's partner contended that her client wished to stop this activity in order to return to work in early childhood education.
The magistrates nevertheless decided to keep all three individuals in custody pending trial, in order to prevent any collusion or attempted intimidation.
