Four minors questioned for attempted murder after brawl at city stadium in Finistère

Four minors aged 15 to 17 were questioned on Friday for "attempted murder" and "complicity", according to a statement from the Brest prosecutor's office sent to 20minutes.fr. They were also placed under strict judicial supervision.

The incident dates to 24 August. At around 23:30, gendarmes discovered a 17-year-old adolescent covered in blood on a public road in Saint-Renan, Finistère. "He was found covered in blood and seriously wounded, apparently by a bladed weapon, notably with a chest wound," the prosecutor's office stated. Emergency services assessed his injury as causing total work incapacity, medically fixed at ten days.

According to initial investigation findings, everything began during an improvised football match at the town's city stadium. The match quickly deteriorated into conflict and insults between young players. "After the match, one group attacked another," the statement clarified.

The victim sustained multiple blows from various weapons: a knife, a gas aerosol, iron bars, and an airsoft-type weapon, the prosecutor's office added.

The arrests took place last Wednesday, with police having notably exploited video recordings to identify the suspects. The prosecutor's office indicated that investigations will continue, "particularly in relation to any remaining protagonists to be arrested and also concerning persons involved on grounds of complicity".
