Seizure of 22 kg of cocaine in Toulouse in motorhome from Spain
Toulouse customs officers brought an end to a drugs transport concealed behind a family façade, according to Google News FR — Crime (fr). A man travelling in a motorhome, accompanied by his daughter and his dog, was intercepted upon his return from Spain.
The inspection led to the discovery of 22 kilogrammes of cocaine hidden on board the vehicle. The driver was presenting himself as an ordinary tourist, with family, in an attempt to pass through customs control posts without raising suspicion.
The presence of the daughter and the pet apparently constituted a staging element designed to lend credibility to the account of a tourist trip from the Iberian Peninsula. Customs agents were not deceived by this disguise and carried out a thorough search of the motorhome, leading to the seizure of the drugs.
