Cocaine trafficking in Agen: shop manager in police custody
A man in his fifties, manager of a shop near Agen city centre, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of cocaine trafficking. His arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday before the public prosecutor's office.
Shop manager arrested in Agen on suspicion of drug trafficking
Ladepeche.fr reports that a man in his fifties, manager of a shop located near Agen city centre, was arrested on Monday 14 September at around 5 p.m., whilst at his place of work.
Suspected of cocaine trafficking, the man was taken into police custody at Agen police station shortly after his arrest. Several grammes of cocaine were reportedly discovered during the operation. An initial interview by investigators was held on Tuesday.
Custody was extended with a view to arraignment before Agen public prosecutor's office, scheduled for Wednesday 16 September.
According to information from ladepeche.fr, the activities alleged against the individual were not directly linked to the main activity of his shop. However, the establishment was reportedly used occasionally to supply drug trafficking.
