Eighteen suspects have been charged in a large-scale cocaine trafficking network linking Paris to western France. The case began with a customs check on the A11 motorway in August 2024.

According to Google News FR — Crime (fr), it all began on 2 August 2024 at a toll gate in Seiches-sur-le-Loir, near Angers, on the A11 motorway. Customs officers intercepted a motorist there in possession of 3 kg of cocaine, travelling from the Paris region towards Nantes.
Investigators from the organised and specialised crime division (DCOS), formerly the judicial police of Angers, subsequently traced the smugglers' network. Several months of investigations led to a major operation, described as a "sprawling case" by the authorities.
In total, eighteen suspects have been charged in this case, which involves a network extending between the capital and western France.
