Drug trafficking in Bourges: eight people tried
From Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 July 2026, the criminal court of Bourges examines the case of a drug network involving eight defendants — seven men and one woman. They are being prosecuted for distributing cocaine and cannabis in the city of Bourges and in the neighbouring municipality of Saint-Germain-du-Puy.
The hearing began with questioning of the alleged head of the network, who controlled the organisation, as well as his right-hand man. The court then examined the role of the other accused.
Among them is a 28-year-old woman, wife of the main suspect. She denies any knowledge of her husband's illegal activities. However, she allegedly benefited from his generosity, notably through trips and the acquisition of luxury items. On her personal bank account, a transfer of approximately 2,000 euros from her husband was identified, without her attempting to ascertain the source of these funds.
She also claims never to have seen the weapons discovered during the search of their family home. She denies having seen bundles of banknotes or drug sachets in their residence.
