According to ouest-france.fr, cries of joy echoed through the corridors of Nantes judicial court on Thursday 3 September, as one of the two defendants tried in a drug trafficking case was announced to be released.
The first, a 24-year-old man, had spent two months in provisional detention without being able to see his partner or their 6-month-old daughter. His family was present outside the courtroom at the time of the verdict. He was appearing alongside a second defendant aged 26 years old.
Both were being prosecuted for their alleged role as suppliers in a drug trafficking network operating near the Central, the PMU in Châteaubriant. Following the trial, the two men were released.
