Police services opened an investigation in April targeting a drug trafficking network established in the Albert-Samain district in Saint-Martin-d'Hères, in the suburbs of Grenoble. This dealing point was located in the immediate vicinity of Henri-Wallon secondary school, and not far from Pablo-Néruda sixth-form college.

What particularly alarmed the authorities was the nature of the products being sold. In addition to usual substances such as cannabis or cocaine, traffickers were distributing PTC, nicknamed "Blow your mind". It is a new synthetic drug in liquid form, intended to be inhaled via an electronic cigarette. This product is causing havoc among young people.

Investigators conducted surveillance and stakeouts to dismantle this illicit trade. The presence of such activity just steps away from educational establishments raises major concerns about student safety and the ease of access to drugs for adolescents.
