A drugs trafficking network active for two years in the Saint-Tropez bay has been dismantled following seven months of investigation. Twelve suspects have been arrested, seven of whom are in provisional detention.

According to nicematin.com, seven months of investigations conducted by the Research Brigade of the Gassin company - Saint-Tropez have led to the dismantling of a cocaine and cannabis trafficking network operating in the Saint-Tropez bay.
Eighty military personnel from the Gassin Company, supported by intervention units from Var and officers from the judicial police, carried out the simultaneous arrest of twelve suspects spread across several communes in the bay. The network's leader, an unemployed individual residing in Cogolin, was identified and apprehended. A thirteenth suspect was arrested in Villeneuve-Loubet, in the Alpes-Maritimes.
Significant seizures during raids
The searches resulted in the seizure of two kilograms of cocaine, ten kilograms of cannabis resin and 45,000 euros in cash, together with a banknote-counting machine. Investigators also recovered four diamonds, 85 grams of gold, luxury items and account books intended to reconstruct the financial flows of the trafficking operation. Three loaded firearms were also discovered.
A structured network active for two years
The network had been distributing its products for two years across this territory in Var. The investigation had begun in summer 2025, following a report which, once verified and cross-checked, had revealed a structured organisation: collectors, resellers and "childminders" responsible for storing the drugs in discreet premises. Nearly fifty consumers were also questioned and will be subject, according to the authorities, to "proportionate criminal penalties".
Seven suspects in provisional detention
Following their periods of custody, the twelve people arrested were referred to the Draguignan Public Prosecutor's Office and then committed for trial. The judge for liberties and detention ordered the provisional detention of seven of them.
