Drug trafficking dismantled near Vaison-la-Romaine: 3,000 to 5,000 € in daily revenue
A trafficking network active in Vaucluse has been dismantled, with estimated turnover of between 3,000 and 5,000 euros per day. Ten people were presented before a judge in Carpentras.

According to laprovence.com, ten individuals were placed in police custody and then presented before an investigating judge at the judicial court of Carpentras between 2 and 4 June, following the dismantling of a drug trafficking network operating around Vaison-la-Romaine. The network allegedly generated between 3,000 and 5,000 euros in turnover per day.
The case originated in March 2025: several individuals had been arrested as part of an investigation into offences related to drugs, and their mobile phones seized. The exploitation of these devices led to the opening of a new investigation, entrusted to the investigation unit of the Carpentras gendarmerie.
On 16 January 2026, the Carpentras public prosecutor opened a judicial investigation for "transport, possession, offering or cession, acquisition of narcotic substances and participation in a criminal association for the purposes of committing these offences", committed between 16 December 2024 and 16 January 2026 in Vaison-la-Romaine, Valence, Le Pontet and in the Vaucluse département.
The investigations by the military personnel uncovered a network operating under several names: "VZN", "VZON8426", "V'", "VLR" and "Coffee Remontada". To communicate and organise deliveries, the traffickers used encrypted messaging services, including Signal. The products were packaged in residential properties rented through several well-known platforms, before being distributed in the areas of Vaison-la-Romaine, Carpentras and Beaumes-de-Venise.
