According to leprogres.fr, the Saint-Étienne court has been seized with a new case of drugs trafficking organised from the La Talaudière prison, in the Loire — just a few weeks after a first conviction handed down on 22 April.
"This is the follow-up to a case tried in April," declared Antoine Chabert, president of the immediate appearance hearing on Friday 4 September. This first phase concerned a drug-selling network coordinated via the Snapchat application by an inmate held at La Talaudière. Six people were then sentenced to terms ranging from three months to six years of custodial imprisonment.
"Just a few weeks later, the drugs trafficking resumed," specified Louise Gayon, prosecutor at the hearing.
Hamza Bouzidi, 29 years old, regarded as the network's organiser from his cell, finds himself once again in the dock. He is being prosecuted notably for complicity in drugs trafficking, threats of death and participation in a criminal association.
