Drug trafficking Vendée-Finistère: couple and their friend remain in prison before trial

Three young people in their twenties, including a couple and their best friend, will be incarcerated during the summer months. The Saint-Nazaire regional court refused to release them on Friday 3 July. These three defendants are suspected of having organised a drug trafficking operation extending from Vendée to Finistère, transiting through Loire-Atlantique.

The illicit substances involved are cocaine and ketamine. One of the accused requested a postponement to prepare his defence, which forced the court to defer examination of the case.

At the announcement of their continued detention, the young woman broke down in tears in the defendants' box. Her two co-accused face the same fate.
