The Besançon anti-crime brigade (BAC) arrested two men on 2 June 2026, around 19:00, following a suspected drug transaction on rue Louise-Blazer, according to macommune.info.
Police were monitoring a vehicle whose driver, aged 25, appeared to be waiting for a contact. A second vehicle came to a stop alongside it shortly afterwards. Officers observed a brief verbal exchange between the two drivers, during which the first allegedly handed a small box to the second, aged 28, in exchange for a sum of money.
The buyer identified the contents of the box as cocaine and stated that he had placed an order via the Telegram messaging application.
Several substances discovered in the vehicle
The two individuals were taken into custody. The 25-year-old suspect indicated to investigators the location of drugs hidden in his vehicle. The search uncovered several substances concealed in the seatbelt holder: 85 grammes of cannabis resin, 79 grammes of cannabis herb, 18 grammes of heroin, 15 grammes of ketamine and 3 grammes of cocaine. A sum of 555 euros found on him was also seized.
During his interview, the 28-year-old man acknowledged purchasing the cocaine for his personal consumption and presented himself as a regular user. The 25-year-old driver, for his part, claimed to have acted as a driver on behalf of a third party who was absent during the check. He acknowledged his involvement in trafficking and his cannabis consumption. Examination of his mobile telephone, according to investigators, confirmed certain elements of his statements.
Distinct judicial proceedings for the two men
Custody of the 25-year-old driver ended on 4 June 2026. He was referred on the same day in the context of a hearing with prior admission of guilt.
That of the second suspect ended on 3 June 2026. A penal order was set for 11 September 2026.
