Gendarmes from the Vigan gendarmerie company conducted an operation against drug trafficking in their sector. This intervention resulted in the arrest of an individual in the middle of the week.
Investigators placed the suspect in custody. During the searches, they seized a quantity exceeding one kilogramme of narcotic products, comprising cannabis resin and cannabis plant material. The gendarmes also discovered approximately €20,000 in cash.
The identity of the suspect has not been disclosed. He may be referred to the office of the public prosecutor at the Alès judicial court in the coming days. The outcome of this case will depend on the decision of the magistrate assigned to it.
