Drug trafficking near Caen: 2.5 kg of drugs, a pistol and €2,800 seized
The national police carried out raids in the Caen conurbation, dismantling a suspected drug trafficking network. The seizures include cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, ecstasy, a firearm and cash.

Law enforcement dismantled a suspected drug trafficking network in the Caen conurbation in Calvados. During raids conducted by the national police, investigators seized a significant quantity of illicit products as well as a firearm and a sum of cash.
The seizures made include 1.535 kilograms of cannabis resin, 746 grammes of cannabis herb, 75 grammes of cocaine, 136 grammes of MDMA and 243 ecstasy tablets. Officers also discovered a firearm and €2,800 in cash.
These raids were carried out following the arrest and detention of several individuals suspected of being involved in this trafficking. Three people are due to be tried at the end of August by the Caen judicial court in connection with this case.
