Police from the DCOS dismantled a major drug trafficking network in Dreux, specialising in cocaine and heroin. The operation followed the reactivation of a trafficking operation already dismantled in April 2025.
International drug trafficking: large network dismantled in Eure-et-Loir
Investigators from the organised and specialised crime division (DCOS) conducted a major operation in Dreux, in Eure-et-Loir, on 30 June last. This intervention resulted in the dismantling of a particularly well-organised drug trafficking network, as confirmed by the prosecutor handling the Chartres prosecutor's office, Frédéric Chevallier, in the columns of L'Écho Républicain.
This case originates from the resurgence of a trafficking operation already destroyed fourteen months earlier. From spring 2025, police had detected new hard drug transactions in the Chartres sector. Two individuals were identified and then tracked to Dreux by the specialised services.
On the instruction of an investigating magistrate, officials conducted a methodical investigation over several weeks. They were able to establish a complete map of this organisation dedicated to the trade in illicit powder substances.
This case demonstrates the capacity of drug trafficking networks to reconstitute themselves after a collapse. The investigation could still lead to further arrests in the near future.
