Three teenagers arrested for drug trafficking in Bourg-lès-Valence

Three young suspected dealers were arrested on Friday 3 July by law enforcement in Bourg-lès-Valence, in the Drôme. The operation put an end to a drugs-selling operation conducted by minors.

The first suspect was arrested in public space during a traffic control. The other two were apprehended shortly afterwards in a hotel room in the commune, according to information reported by ici.fr.

This case fits within a context of growing tensions in the old town of Bourg-lès-Valence. The neighbourhood was targeted by two shootings in less than a week at the end of June. On 25 June, a residence in the sector came under a dozen shots, without causing any injuries. This attack followed an earlier volley of projectiles a few days earlier, targeting the same building.

Residents of the Gay-Lussac residence are now living in fear of further violence. Local authorities are attempting to respond to this deterioration in security through targeted police operations.
