In the early hours of Wednesday 1 July 2026, around 5 o'clock in the morning, gunfire erupted in Sevran, Seine-Saint-Denis. A driver lost his life, victim of multiple shots, according to franceinfo citing a source close to the investigation.
According to the testimony of a passer-by, the attacker was driving a different vehicle from that of the target. He stopped his car, then opened fire repeatedly on the occupant of the vehicle. The bullets struck the victim's head, causing his death.
When the emergency services arrived at the scene, they found around forty bullet impacts on the bodywork of the dead man's car. The assailant fled immediately. At the present time, investigators have not yet identified or located the perpetrator.
