On 5 September 2025, Raphaël Maciel left his home for a run at around 9 p.m. His daughter was waiting for him before going to bed, but the man never returned. He was shot in the back on a path located a few hundred metres from his house, in the Essonne department.
A year after this unexplained death, the partner of the father of a family agreed to speak on camera to TF1. Excerpts from her testimony are broadcast in a report by the channel, which can be viewed in full on its YouTube channel.
