During a broadcast of BFMTV's "Forum" aired on the evening of Monday, 8 June, a father from Gap strongly contested the judicial control measure decided against the alleged sexual aggressor of his daughter. Rudy gave his testimony in the presence of the Minister of Justice, Gérald Darmanin.
The girl, aged 12 and named Lina, is said to have been a victim of two predators within a span of a few months, the father explained on the television panel. The intervention took place as gatherings in memory of Lyhanna, a 12-year-old girl who was abducted and then found dead in a grain silo in the Gers on 4 June, were being held in numerous French municipalities.
Lina's mother, Joëlle, also expressed her distress to the regional daily Le Dauphiné Libéré. The couple are now considering leaving the Gap region, or even leaving French territory, to escape the geographical proximity of the two individuals in question. According to her, the suspended sentence initially imposed on the first suspect should have been replaced with a custodial sentence.
