The Créteil public prosecutor's office revealed on Wednesday that eleven people have been arrested and placed in custody. All were under 18 years of age at the time the events occurred. The charges against them include sexual assaults committed in a group, as well as the recording and distribution of pornographic material featuring a teenager.
According to initial investigation findings, the incidents allegedly took place between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024. The young victim allegedly suffered repeated touching by several members of the group. These individuals also allegedly recorded their acts on video before making them accessible to others.
It was the adolescent's mother who alerted the authorities by filing a complaint, which made it possible to launch the investigation.
The mayor of Bonneuil-sur-Marne, a member of the French Communist Party, praised the responsiveness of police services and the prosecutor's office. In a statement made to the AFP news agency, he underlined the complementary nature of the various institutions responsible for handling this case.
