Grégory Guillotin admits violence, his ex-partner filed a complaint in June

YouTuber and comedian Grégory Guillotin publicly admitted on Saturday that he had committed physical and psychological violence against his former partner, according to 7sur7 Faits Divers. Known for his hidden camera content, the YouTube personality is the subject of a complaint for domestic violence and harassment, filed on 17 June with the prosecutor of the Republic at the district court of Évry, in Essonne.

"My former partner filed a complaint against me for physical and psychological violence. She suffered them. I will neither deny them nor seek to justify them. I am ashamed," wrote Guillotin in a statement issued by his team and consulted by RTL. He added: "For years, I made millions of people laugh. At home, on several occasions, I was also violent towards the person who shared my life. Both are true. Both have been me. I never want to be the second again."

The complainant describes years of blows and control

The complainant, now 27 years old, accuses Grégory Guillotin of repeated violence between 2019 and 2026, the period corresponding to their relationship. According to the complaint, which the AFP has seen, she describes a system of surveillance, humiliation and insults. She claims to have met Guillotin on social media when she was only 19 years old and he was 35.

The first blows are said to have been struck in April 2022, at the couple's home in the Paris suburbs. The complaint states a kick in December 2022 during a stay in the Maldives, a slap and several kicks during a trip to Morocco in 2023, and a punch to the eye in 2024. During that same Moroccan trip, Guillotin is said to have, after slapping her and throwing a bowl of cereal in her face, falsely claimed to have cancelled her return flight ticket.

Surveillance cameras installed at the home

According to the complainant's account, in the year preceding their separation, Grégory Guillotin had surveillance cameras installed at their home, citing the presence of a tradesman doing work. "In reality, this system was also used to permanently observe" her partner's movements, the complaint specifies, with Guillotin immediately addressing "reproaches to her (...) when she was resting, was slow to reply to his messages or did not carry out the tasks expected according to his criteria."

Jean-Baptiste Riolacci, the complainant's lawyer, contacted by the AFP, highlighted his client's courage: "She fears more than anything that the acts of which she was a victim will be repeated on other women."

The comedian announces psychiatric follow-up

In his statement, Guillotin indicates that he began psychiatric follow-up one year before the end of the relationship, then regular support with a psychologist specialised in domestic violence. He apologises to his former partner, "even though I know this may seem trivial".

Regarding the other facts mentioned in the complaint, the comedian says he does not wish to speak publicly before the end of the legal proceedings. "I will answer to justice, at each stage, without shirking, and I will not speak publicly about this matter again before the end of the proceedings," he concludes.
