Drugs, handguns and contraband cigarettes were removed from circulation during successive operations conducted across the entire territory.
The summary communicated by the National Police is as follows: 94 cartons of contraband cigarettes seized, more than 11 kilogrammes of cannabis, as well as several hundred grammes of cocaine and crack.
Five handguns were also discovered and seized, several of them accompanied by ammunition.
As part of these interventions, several people were arrested and placed in police custody.
The National Police specify that these results stem from the daily presence of police officers in the field, targeted checks and the investigation work conducted by the various units.
The stated objective is to combat illicit trafficking and to remove from public streets the products and weapons liable to fuel delinquency and violence.
