The decision aims to protect the identity of one of the two minors involved at the time of the facts: the victim's own son. Only relatives of the two accused minors are authorised to attend hearings throughout the week. The press and the rest of the public are excluded.
The facts date back to the night of 22 to 23 September 2023. Mickaël Paturot, a 39-year-old entrepreneur specialising in air conditioning, had been fatally shot at his home in Gosier. Surveillance camera footage from the residence had captured the presence of several individuals who were waiting for the victim, according to elements of the investigation, which describes the facts as a burglary at a residence.
His son, aged 16 at the time, was swiftly taken into custody. He allegedly admitted to having ordered the theft through an acquaintance and was committed for trial for complicity in murder and complicity in armed theft. The in-camera proceedings are to continue until Friday.
