According to rci.fm, the driver of a pick-up truck who had deliberately driven towards a woman in front of her building in Abymes on Sunday 13 September has been released after custody but placed under judicial supervision. He has been summoned to appear on Wednesday 30 September before the criminal court in Pointe-à-Pitre.

The incident took place on Cour Montella, in the context of a neighbourhood dispute. The suspect allegedly deliberately directed his vehicle against the victim, pinning her against another car parked in front of the building. He was placed in custody the same day.

The suspect is being prosecuted for violence. Under the terms of judicial supervision, he is forbidden from contacting the victim and from going to the scene of the incident.

The injured woman must meanwhile gather medical certificates before the hearing. If she chooses to join the proceedings as a civil party, she will be able to claim damages during the trial.
