A police operation has dismantled a criminal organisation operating in Thessaloniki and Mykonos. Drugs, knives, pistols and a carbine were seized.

From the early morning hours of 29 June 2026, a police operation by the Anti-Organised Crime Subdirectorate of Northern Greece has been underway, according to in.gr.

The aim of the operation is to dismantle a gang that was active in drug trafficking, robberies, bodily injury and property damage with a sports background — operating in Thessaloniki and Mykonos.

So far 17 people have been arrested, of whom 15 are described as core members of the organisation. Among those arrested is a minor.

During the searches, quantities of narcotic substances, knives, a 9-millimetre pistol, an air pistol, a carbine and 9-millimetre ammunition were seized.

The Hellenic Police announced that the operation is continuing and that a further update with detailed information on the case will follow.
