Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle accused of corruption – text messages reveal money deal

Ambassador to Greece hit by corruption allegations

Kimberly Guilfoyle, USA's ambassador to Greece and former fiancée of Donald Trump Jr., has landed in serious trouble. According to B.T., citing TV 2 and The Wall Street Journal, an SMS correspondence reveals that shortly before her confirmation as ambassador, she attempted to secure 100,000 dollars from MAGA donor Eric Deters.

According to Deters, the money was intended to cover Guilfoyle's bank debt. However, the transfer never took place, as Deters withdrew – allegedly out of fear that the flow of money would damage his marriage.

The Wall Street Journal assesses that Deters was motivated by a desire to get closer to the Trump administration in connection with his own tax cases, and that he was therefore willing to help Guilfoyle financially.

Guilfoyle's lawyer denies the allegations and tells the media that the text messages are fake.
