Three foreign nationals aged 50, 51 and 52 were arrested in Anavyssos for the murder of a 42-year-old man, who was fatally struck on the head with a tree log.

Three foreign nationals, aged 50, 51 and 52, were arrested by police from the Organised Crime and Investigation Unit for South-Eastern Attica, during an investigation into the murder of a 42-year-old man that took place last Sunday in Anavyssos.
According to the investigation's findings, the victim had met with the perpetrators on the afternoon of 21 June 2026 at the home of the 51-year-old accused. During the meeting, a quarrel broke out between the 42-year-old and one of the three, as a result of which the latter struck him on the head using a tree log, causing him serious injury.
Immediately after the incident, two of the accused abandoned the crime scene without notifying the police authorities and without providing the victim with basic medical assistance. The 42-year-old succumbed to his injuries.
Following the authorities' operation, the three men were arrested and a case was filed against them for harboring a criminal and obstructing justice in conspiracy. A fourth person is included in the same case file, who has been identified and is being sought by the authorities, accused of intentional homicide with malice aforethought and dangerous bodily harm.
