An evening incident occurred in Petroupoli with injury to a police officer from the DIAS unit. Police officers requested a motorcyclist to stop for a check at approximately 23:15, but he accelerated and attempted to escape.

During the pursuit, at the intersection of Achilléos and Kolokotróni, the two-wheeler driver struck the vehicle of his pursuers. The police officer who was in the DIAS two-wheeler fell to the ground and was injured in his limbs.

Despite the pain, the police officer pursued the 17-year-old perpetrator on foot and immobilised him. The young man was taken to Petroupoli Police Station, whilst the injured officer was transferred to the 401 Military Hospital.
