Two members of an organised criminal gang were arrested in Ioannina after robbing money and jewellery from three elderly women whilst posing as accountants, according to Proto Thema.
Hidden in the boot of the accused individuals' car were €42,650 in cash and jewellery worth a total of €21,000.
Members of the gang approached their victims presenting themselves as accountants, thereby securing their trust before stealing their money and jewellery.
