Nine members of a criminal organisation were arrested in Attica, including seven minors aged 14-19 years. They were distributing cannabis and cocaine in schools and playgrounds.

Nine people were arrested in Attica for involvement in criminal groups that sold drugs. Among them were seven minors aged 14 to 19 years, as well as two parents accused of negligence in supervising minors.
The Greek Police identified two separate gangs that had been formed since April. One operated in the northern suburbs (Ekali, Drosia, Dionysus, Nea Erythraia) and the other in Thrakomakedones, according to Naftemporiki.
The northern Attica group had an organised structure headed by a 21-year-old, who directed all operations. A 19-year-old was responsible for procuring and transporting the substances, whilst a 17-year-old was assigned to monitor the young dealers and collect the proceeds.
The drugs were hidden in a vehicle that was permanently parked near the 17-year-old's house. Sales were made in public places such as playgrounds, squares and bus stops, as well as inside school buildings. The perpetrators even attempted to involve students just 13 years old in their operation, whilst they sold cocaine to a girl aged 14.
During the authorities' operation, the 21-year-old leader attempted to escape in his car and struck a police officer, causing him serious injury to his leg. For this incident, he was additionally charged with attempted murder.
Searches of the group's premises resulted in the seizure of raw cannabis, cocaine, cash and valuable vehicles with a total value exceeding €150,000.
