The Organised Crime Confrontation Directorate is carrying out an operation to dismantle a criminal organisation that was active in thefts and telephone fraud in Attica, with eight arrests so far.

A large-scale police operation is underway by the Property Crime Division of the Organised Crime Confrontation Directorate (D.A.O.E.) aimed at dismantling a criminal group operating in the wider Attica region.
According to information from the police, members of the gang committed thefts and burglaries in residential properties. At the same time, they defrauded citizens through telephone calls, impersonating employees of DEDDIE.
So far, police officers have made eight arrests. The investigation is ongoing and further information from the authorities is expected.
