Suicide in Korydallos Prison of Woman Accused of Killing Polish Professor

The former wife of 43-year-old Polish university professor Przemyslaw Jeziorski, who was accused as a moral accomplice to his murder, died by suicide in Korydallos Prison on the evening of Thursday 4 June, according to lifo.gr.
According to reports, the detainee resorted to the prison facilities' toilet block and used bed sheets.
Jeziorski, a marketing professor at the University of California, Berkeley, was killed on the afternoon of 4 July 2025 in Agia Paraskevi. He was in Greece to see his children and settle custody matters with his former wife.
An armed man with covered features approached him on foot near his former wife's residence and shot him repeatedly at close range, inflicting fatal wounds to the neck and chest. Seven shell casings from a 9mm pistol were found at the scene.
The Homicide Division, having initially investigated the scenario of a contract killing, quickly narrowed its focus to people within the victim's inner circle. A 35-year-old partner of the former wife was identified as the principal perpetrator, who according to case files travelled to Athens from Nafplio whilst leaving his mobile phone there to create a false alibi.
Three additional accomplices are reported to have been involved in the plan, whilst investigations led to a total of five arrests. Intense disagreements between the former couple over child custody and alleged financial matters between them were examined as the main motive.
