Police officers arrested a couple in Volos who were in possession of cocaine and prescription narcotic tablets without a medical prescription.

Police officers proceeded to arrest a couple in Volos after a search they conducted revealed quantities of cocaine in their possession as well as pharmaceutical tablets that fall under narcotics legislation.
The officers located the two suspects and following a check established that they were in possession of prohibited substances. Specifically, quantities of white powder that was identified as cocaine were found, as well as tablets that are dispensed only with a medical prescription.
The two arrested individuals were taken to the police station and from there to the public prosecutor. The authorities are examining whether the couple is involved in a wider drug trafficking ring in the Volos area.
